Mural Warrior

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend! I thought about writing "Happy 4th of July!" on the wall but I wasn't sure how it would be received, so an amorphous blob was all that graced the side of the building for a week. I boarded a train to Baltimore early on Wednesday, spent a few days visiting friends at MICA, then left for a weekend in DC. I came back early on Monday morning and went directly to the Mattress Factory for the first day of class. Needless to say at the end of the day, I was exhausted.

Went up for about an hour around 7:30 when it wasn't unbearably hot. Fixed the grid (or at least George Washington, the coke ovens still don't look right to me).
I was using blue chalk for the grid lines and black for the design, which I should have known would result in black chalk dust all over the place.
I'm just glad I made a little progress today, I didn't want to leave it for over a week. Hopefully I can get up early to put in some hours before heading off to Pittsburgh.
